Natural Parenting UK's review of Appletta's works!

"I was not prepared for how gorgeous it all is. These are very high quality, brilliantly produced letters that will always be treasured by parent and child alike. . . . We read (and re-read) the letter together as a family which helped prolong the "magic" throughout the week."

"Appletta's Secret Fairy World is very sensitive to a child's emotional and creative needs in an increasingly confusing and frightening world. It is truly so beautiful, and seems to answer a very distinct need for parents in today's world.

With Warmest Regards . . . and a special hello to Appletta!"

"Well! Imagine our surprise when we received such fancy letters on colorful paper so soft to the touch, and so obviously made with great care!

My 9 year old son, Zachary, read the letters himself a few times and remarked, "Appletta writes a lot like I do! I write like a Fairy artist!" . . . .
I think I enjoy the story letters as much as my wee ones!

Now go out and contact Appletta and whisper to her to send some Fairy fun and magic to your house!

Blessings~

Howdy from Texas,
Well, my son has gone through the whole blue set of Appletta letters and I see you have a green set. These letters are helping him learn to read (he is dyslexic!). Thanks! Robin

Well, Appletta has become part of our family at last! Last week, Emily, age 9, and her brother Robert, age 5, found Appletta's first letters in our garden. They were awed and thrilled to see the pretty handmade envelopes. When they discovered their own names inside, they squealed with delight and ran indoors to show me.

The introductory letters were perfect. Emily has lost most of her teeth and Robert hasn't lost any yet, but they didn't seem to mind that Appletta talked about being a Tooth Fairy.

Emily loved the description of Fairy wings, and it was perfect timing because we had just found some dragonflies the day before and had spent time examining their wings closely.

Both kids set right to work writing letters to Appletta. They left them in the flower boxes.

Emily has always believed in Fairies and now she knows for real that they exist.

Robert, who is just beginning to read, was trying to read his to himself before asking for help.
Talk about motivation to practice reading!

A few days later, Emily wrote to Appletta again. The next morning at breakfast, her eyes lit up and she said, "Oh yea, I left a letter for Appletta yesterday! Robert, come on . . ." and she took her brother by the hand and ran outside with him to check the flower boxes. It is so sweet to watch the two of them become so connected through Appletta. For a boy and a girl, four years apart in age, to find something they can relate to and share together is really a treat for us all.

The third letters were perfect too. . . . Robert's described city Fairies, and we had just been to New York City for a family outing the day before. When he remarked, "Isn't this letter kind of big for a little Fairy?", his sister responded, "Well of course, silly, if Appletta left a letter her size, we wouldn't be able to read it." Isn't she smart to think of that? He seemed very satisfied with the logic of that response.

Emily is dying to find out how Appletta makes the paper (Appletta answers this question in the new Deluxe Green Set! - ed.). She has told all of her friends about Appletta and I'm sure their parents will be contacting you soon, so many have asked me for your web address.

We have seven more sets of letters to go and weeks of more fun with Appletta! I can't wait. I have not read the letters, I just leave them for the kids to find and I can be surprised too! Thank you so very much!

Fondly,
Antoinette of Ridgefield, CT

Dear Appletta and Rosenberry Books,

What a success! Our eldest daughter (6 years old) found a letter from Appletta under her pillow last night. Although she has not *officially* lost her first tooth yet (it *is* very wiggly)--we noticed her grown-up tooth has already cut through. Appletta noticed too.

Upon finding the beautiful handmade flower-petal paper envelope she was excited as we opened and read it to her. She recognized her name at once at the top of the page. After reading she had two comments:

(1) "So that's how Fairies become Tooth Fairies!" (And has been telling everyone since!!)

(2) "You know, Mom . . . I believe in Santa Claus, and I kinda believed in Fairies, but I REALLY believe in Fairies now!!!"

She immediately wrote Appletta back with some of our own "Fairy stationary" and asked "What do you do with all the teeth?" Of course, Appletta will be delivering her answer sometime tonight!!

Thank you for the brilliance that is Appletta! What a gift of *sparkle* you bring with your magical and incredibly inspired letters. A tradition that has become more about money is finally seeing a revival in MAGIC!!! I have told everyone I know about Appletta (and so has my daughter!)-- my younger daughter is eager to receive letters from her Tooth Fairy too! I can't wait to receive my "Green Set" package!!!

When I first learned of you through WaldorfWorld.net, I wasn't necessarily shopping for Tooth Fairy alternatives, but when I found you!!!! WOW! Whole ideas about celebrating my children's Rites of Passage with DELIGHT welled up within me!! There is no going back now!!!

The letters are NOT just about teeth! They are about honoring the uniqueness in every child! Although we are using the first few letters for loose-teeth-related purposes, I intend to intersperse them with other "nature"-gifts from Appletta. Appletta has certainly taken on a life of her own in our household, and that's after only ONE LETTER!!! We have 19 more to go!!!!! We have now begun an heirloom family tradition. Thank you!

I have read only the first four letters in the blue packet, as well as the incredible accompanying book. Both my husband and I decided to let "nature take its course" and allow "serendipity" and "synchronicity" a hand at picking which letters come next--so we can delight in the discovery as well!

Thank you for your BRILLIANCE!!!!

In love and light,
Trace and family!

Hello,

Kaylyn (4 years old) received her first letter from Appletta today. Just wanted to share with you.

She got the one about the sounds of names and the names in the little wildflower book. After reading it to her, her first question was . . .
"How does a little Fairy carry such a big letter?"
I asked her to think about it and she came up with, "Maybe she wrote a little letter and carried it to our house and then whooshed it with her magic wand to make it bigger."

Children are so funny! She asked me to dictate a letter back to Appletta.

It reads . . .

Dear Appletta,

Well, today we woke up and saw a letter from you. There were real dried flowers.
I love you so much.
Thanks for the letter. And I have a cat.
Thank you for not waking me up.

Love,
Kaylyn.
Lopperty Lop Toopety toop.

Thanks for creating such great letters. I can tell we will have a lot of fun with these.

Take care,
Kati

A wiggly tooth is sort of happy, sort of sad. It's sad because it feels like you won't be a little kid anymore. You'll be growing up soon. It's happy because you'll get to do all new stuff as you grow up. I have my first wiggly tooth now. I got it a couple of days ago. I'm six and a half years old. I can't really feel it wiggle when I wiggle it with my tongue but I can feel it with my finger. I don't really know much about losing teeth because I haven't lost one yet. My brother knows a lot about it because he's lost six teeth. All I know about it is you put it under your pillow and the tooth fairy comes and gets it. She gives you money back.

What I think about the Sandman and the Tooth Fairy is that they're married. And they're building their castle out of tooths. What happened to my friend once is that she left a note for the Tooth Fairy under her pillow and the Tooth Fairy left her a note back. She knows it was the Tooth Fairy because it was not her family's handwriting. I saw her at dance class and she brought the note that the Tooth Fairy left her. I hope the Tooth Fairy leaves me a dollar after I loose my first tooth.

Emily, 6 1/2 years old

One time I was having breakfast and one of my wiggly teeth came out in challah french toast. But, I still had one more wiggly tooth that was driving me crazy. It was so wiggly. I couldn't eat hard things because of it. It came out the same day in a banana!

Cole, 8 years old

Appletta Tooth Fairy and her friends bring a delightful merriment to the staid world of tooth fairy gifts. Rosenberry books, etc., with their Letters from Appletta Tooth Fairy, offers just the right story at just the right time, with fanciful illustrations, enclosed in a beautiful envelope. This is a wonderful offering to share with our children, grandchildren and special young friends who love the imaginative world of make-believe.

The Appletta Letters sound magical and delightful. I am trying to keep it a secret from my 8 year old daughter, Laurel. I am taking a peek now. Oh, she will love this!
I could even hide them in "Fairy places" in our yard.

The letters from a Fairy would encourage the reluctant reader. Not that Laurel is one, but she's a hesitant writer, and I know instinctively that this could encourage her to write more, too.

What a wonderful service and a way to add a touch of magic to young lives. Every grandparent should know about this one!

(Later:)

Laurel found the 4-page letter outside, and came in to tell us. She noticed the fancy envelope and opened it with anticipation. As she read, she kept looking up at me and smiling. Laurel relished the story, and we all had to marvel at the whimsical illustrations and fancy papers. Laurel spotted a marigold seed in the handmade paper of one of the envelopes, which she plans to put in a pot to see if it will grow.

Each letter reveals a sweet and whimsical story bearing a gentle message. The themes interlace with the lives of young children - dealing with feelings, relationships and imagination. . . .

They are truly magical! I think I'll save the book for last, as a grand finale.

(Later:)

Laurel found the book and was thrilled. She seems to fully believe in Appletta, and is delighted to have her as her Tooth Fairy, even without prospect of losing any teeth in the near future. This amazes me because, although Laurel's always had a wonderful imagination and believed in Fairies,
she seemed to be outgrowing it as she approaches her 9th birthday. But Appletta has restored that.

I do hope you'll be publishing more Appletta letters and books, because Laurel has already made me promise to look them up, and I think we'll be devoted customers.

Thanks again for your wonderful product (gee, it's hard to call it that because the word seems so impersonal) and to see Laurel's imagination continue to bloom. There truly is magic in the world!
